Although Kate is the daughter of Hollywood star Goldie Hawn, she built her career on her own strength and merit. With a very brief pass in TV Kate moved right into movie roles where she has made her home. Kate's most recognizable early role is that of Penny Lane in the Academy Award winning Almost Famous where she played a rock groupie. Most recently she can be seen in movies such as the title role of the comedies How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days & Raising Helen, the thriller The Skeleton Key and the comedy You, Me and Dupree along side Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon.
